We listed the 1960 American Cancer Society Cancer Crusade disc in Jimmy Stewart on the Air, but could add no further information about it because the disc was not available to us at that time. Since then, we have been able to locate a copy of the original 16-inch transcription disc and add it to our collection. We can verify that Stewart was, in fact, on the recording; see Band 5 below:
Jimmy’s contribution to this track is quite simple. He says, “This is Jimmy Stewart.” Louis Jordan, Judy Holliday and Esther Williams says the same thing about themselves, with Williams also delivering a short message for the Cancer Society.
