When Rear Window was released in 1954, a series of radio spots were prepared to advertise its showings. Jimmy Stewart’s voice is not heard on any of the spots. Instead, we hear Alfred Hitchcock. Stewart and Grace Kelly are mentioned in all of the spots. A few of the other stars are also mentioned in the final spot. There were eight spots in all, ranging in length from 13 seconds to 54 seconds.

In 2012, our book "Jimmy Stewart on the Air" was published by BearManor Media. At that time the book was as complete as posible. Of course, since the publication, additional information has been located. The purpose of this blog is threefold: (1) update listings in the book with information uncovered since its publication; (2) provide information on new radio materials discovered since the book was released, and (3) provide the information of Mr. Stewart's recording career, a chapter which had been dropped from the original book.
